LayerZero Airdrop
LayerZero is a cross-chain protocol that connects over 50 blockchains, enabling developers to build omnichain applications that interact with each other. LayerZero has raised $263.3 million in private funding rounds at a $3 billion valuation from investors like Binance Labs and a16z crypto. The project has confirmed the upcoming release of the $ZRO token, and users have been farming the potential airdrop for over a year.
Since LayerZero is a messaging protocol and not a blockchain, it needs to rely on a combination of smart contracts, Decentralized Verifier Networks (DVNs), and Executors to make multi-machine interaction possible. To emphasize security, over 35 smart contract audits were performed. That is important since users might interact with dozens of decentralized apps (dApps) to maximize their $ZRO token airdrop eligibility.
The tokenomics of LayerZero's native coin, $ZRO, remain undisclosed, but community airdrops are planned for the first half of 2024. To improve user experience, LayerZero Scan, a blockchain explorer, was introduced as one of the tools on the website. Airdrop farmers can use it to track their progress for the $ZRO token, but they should also remember that none of the dApps will guarantee a higher airdrop allocation.
