Our Editorial Process

At StacksOnChain, we’re on a mission to simplify the complexities of the digital asset ecosystem like cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and decentralized finance. We conduct thorough evaluations of diverse sectors, aiming to empower our readers to reach their financial aspirations. This is our selection criteria for the entities we examine, our analytical methodology, and the basis for our ratings of these products and platforms.

Products and Platforms We Review

We evaluate several platforms, products, and services that assist our audience to embark on their financial journey. Our StacksOnChain specialists frequently assess the following:

  • Centralized Crypto Exchanges (CEXs): Exchanges are gateways for trading various digital currencies in a regulated and secure environment. Each is distinguished by its unique security measures, coin offerings, compliance with local laws, and fee structures.
  • Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs): These DeFi hubs allow users to trade, stake, lend, and borrow thousands of cryptocurrencies on-chain for low costs and with zero identity verification. They are differentiated by the supported blockchains, assets and services they support.
  • Digital Assets: From popular assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum to more distinct and emerging tokens like Solana, Celestia, and Aptos, we evaluate and access what each cryptocurrency offers, from trading history to potential outcomes.
  • Lending Protocols: Lending platforms are essential for users wanting to access a broader range of staking assets that may not be available on centralized and decentralized exchanges. They generally offer high yields and unique earning methods, such as staking, farming, lending, and pools.
  • Cross-Chain Bridges: Essential for transferring assets from one network to another, bridging protocols allow users to send funds across multiple chains like Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, and Avalanche.
  • Crypto Wallets: For those prioritizing asset security, private wallets offer a sanctuary for digital currencies. The choices range from web-based and mobile to hardware wallets, each with its distinctive advantages and limitations.
  • NFT Marketplaces: These marketplaces are online hubs for buying, selling, and trading Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) across multiple networks. Each one differs by the supported blockchains, available projects and features, such as rarity tools.

How We Review

Our dedicated editors and expert contributors are the brains behind the articles on StacksOnChain. While we steer clear of direct investment recommendations, we provide essential analysis, context, and educational content to inform your decisions. Our articles are designed to break down complex topics into easy-to-understand and digestible content to help you on your journey.

We constantly review our content on a quarterly basis to identify and update outdated information, guided by our network of cryptocurrency and finance experts. Updated articles are clearly marked to reflect recent revisions and maintain informational integrity.

Our Methodology

Our reviews are crafted to guide users toward making informed and wise investment choices. Our multi-stage review process is conducted on a quarterly basis to ensure precision and involves:

  1. Preliminary Screening: We initially vet services for reliability and credibility. Platforms and products failing this phase are not further considered.
  2. In-depth Exploration: Services passing the initial screening undergo comprehensive analysis, including a deep dive into the company's offerings, its history and track record, customer feedback, and user surveys to gauge the platform's strengths and areas of improvement.
  3. Hands-on Testing: Our experts personally test the services to validate their claims,  by signing up and utilizing every feature to test their security and find potential vulnerabilities.
  4. Comprehensive Review: After collecting data, our team crafts a detailed review, dissecting the service's features and breaking down various components like security, user interface, pricing, and availability in certain regions.
  5. Editorial Review: The final review is refined to enhance readability and accuracy, aligning with our editorial and ethical standards. Following completion, this article is then peer-reviewed to check for integrity and reliability.
  6. Continuous Updates: Reviews are periodically reassessed every three months for relevance and accuracy, maintaining regular communication with each brand to verify the information provided is updated correctly.
